DEM carries out Screening and Initial Feasibility Assessments in city H*) for the reconstruction of the municipal waste water company, including integration of renewable energy. In city K, DEM is assessing the capital repair of Individual Heating Substations, the thermal modernisation of public buildings with alternative energy solutions, and the installation of renewable energy systems in public facilities.
In city KR, DEM evaluates the reconstruction of water intake infrastructure and equipment, including a new Water Treatment Plant and a photovoltaic plant at the the Water Intake. In city KS, DEM assesses the thermal modernisation of public buildings and the installation of solar power systems.
Across these seven projects in four municipalities, the services covers functional design, CAPEX, payback analysis, financing options and structures, environmental benefits, creditworthiness, and non‑quantifiable environmental and social impacts, including improved health and sanitary conditions.
Following NEFCO’s shortlisting, the next phase includes detailed project preparation for investment financing, with updated feasibility assessments or full feasibility studies covering technical, financial, institutional and environmental aspects, as well as a Priority Investment Plan and a Procurement Plan.
